Trigger Finger

Trigger Finger

Trigger finger is a common problem where one or more fingers become ‘sticky’. They may have difficulty in opening after the hand is clenched in a fist, and are often tender in the palm. Most often these are treated with a steroid injection in the palm. If the trigger finger is resistant to this technique then surgical release can be performed, usually under local anaesthetic.
