Botox® is an injectable medication that is targeted at specific facial muscles. It works by weakening these muscles and removing the cause of wrinkling. Botox® tends to work very quickly (within 1-7 days) and should last 3-4 months. Injections are recommended to be repeated for lasting effects.
Botox® can be used also for hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating, although again it does require repeated injections. In this situation Botox® can be prescribed and may be covered by your private insurance.
Risks include bruising, temporary ptosis or drooping of the eyelids, temporary double vision (from weakening of eye muscles).

Botox® Therapeutic has been approved by Health Canada for the treatment of chronic migraine headaches since 2011. Candidacy for treatment is dependent upon fulfilling the criteria for treatment & a physician referral. Coverage for this is dependent on your health insurance plan/benefit plan. Botox® is indicated for the prophylaxis of headaches in adult patients with Chronic Migraine (≥ 15 days per month with headache lasting 4 hours a day or longer).

To earn and accumulate points, you must spend a minimum of $200.00 (CAD), before tax and receive an eligible treatment such as Botox®, Juvederm®, or Latisse®. You must upload a valid receipt to the Member Portal to confirm your purchase. This receipt will be verified by Brilliant Distinctions® Program administrators and once validated, will result in a specified number of points that will be credited to your account.
Brilliant Distinctions® member benefits & rewards will now be handled directly between members and the Brilliant Distinctions® Program by Allergan Aesthetics (instead of at point of purchase in the clinic).
Members will submit valid treatment receipts online through the member portal.
Brilliant Distinctions® members who have collected rewards can redeem them instantly via Interac e-transfer using the Member Portal.
